Chaire - Ceramic Tea Caddies

Chaire written in Kanji characters Chaire are ceramic caddies used to hold powdered green tea (matcha) when making thick tea (koicha). Traditionally a chaire has an ivory lid with a gold leaf underside and is stored in a decorative bag called shifuku.
